Walking Around the North Side of Hanoi's Old Quarter in 4K 2018 | VIETNAM WALK

In this walking tour video, I explored some alleys and other areas on the northern side of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. This just shows you the kind of amazing exploration walks you can have around Hanoi city without having to go very far, especially if you’re visiting and staying in the Old Quarter.
Every turn of the corner can reveal something amazing to be seen and discovered!

Some highlights seen along the way:
-Dong Xuan Market (just briefly at the beginning)
-Glassware alley
-Long Bien Station & Bridge
-One of my favorite Bun Cha restaurants, at 24 Hong Phuc street
-Chau Long Market
-Truc Bach Lake

Can you make a whole walking video around the West Lake, that would be awsome !! And it may take more than 1 hour…

Well as I head for Hai Phong in November, I'll need to hang out in Hanoi too. Appears after living in both China and India that VN is a blend of both. Catch ya. Instagram dashansheying

Are there any bigger shops like H&M, supermarkets etc. or can you just find these tiny traditional shops in Hanoi?

Your walking videos are legend around here. Even my friend who travels the world has started watching your videos. She says you are able to capture so much in so little time that a photograph just couldn't express. Cheers to you and keep up the good work. I love going shopping with you. LOL!

Don't know why I find these walking videos so appealing.. But I do. They give a sense of adventure and exploration, while at the same time are really relaxing. Thanx! Hope you are doing well. Take it from someone who has endured multiple years of anxiety… It's hard, but the trick was to keep on moving. Avoidance is what feeds fear… Easy to say, but really hard to act upon. The fysical part of it is extremely scary, but not real.

Thnx again for making these videos!

AAAWWWW man! you not only walked right past my apartment (Hang Bun & Pham Hong Thai) but I was down at the market shopping that same day! and I walked there on pretty much the same route you walked (opposite direction ofc) I'm guessing I was there later in the day than you filmed but still… my dream of running into you in the street while you film a walk and video bombing one of your vids was SO CLOSE! lol

anyways, im happy to see the attached maps now. they are very helpful. and the overdubbed narration is very nice. professional AF!

one more thing… do you remember that video you did months ago of a restaurant that is hidden in an upstairs location where you ate the crab soup with water-bug extract in it? i really want to go there but i cant find the video… or the restaurant

    keep making these fun videos!

Dammmm, that's a lot of walking. The map looked like you walk the entire country, lol! I like your narration giving us historical facts along the way. btw what was the woman saying over the P.A system on the 36.27 nark.

good to see this, one of my planned street run loop in Dec goes through this tour … curious, is there a promenade / pavement by the river? that would be an idea for your next walking tour… thanks again!

Where is CharlyCheer? Curious Georgia and Pho Your Eyes Only had left Vietnam and CharlyCheer is missing. Cory, looks like you're the only survivor now in Vietnam that I know.

Checked the route you walked that day by looking at the map. It seems like you had a super long walk.!! But it only took you less than an hour?? Really??
