Thank you so much for this video! I am off to Hue for my elective medical placement next year and was worried about the 2hr stop over at Ho Chi Minh airport and catching my connecting flight to Hue. Now I know that I just have to walk next door 😊 PS I’m loving your Vietnam travel vlogs 😃

sure about “slapping” part (this is so hilarious 😂) but they do require you to turn your mobile phone off. I actually had the same experience with the delayed flights =.=, I felt bit annoyed when you have to wait for hours

Heya sweets, I used to be a flight attendant so hopefully I can give you some insight into why you were not allowed to film

1)The flight deck door might have still been open when boarding. Later on I can see your film viewpoint included the cabin and flight deck so its a safety and security concern.
    2) If recording with your phone it should have been off or in flight mode 😉
3)Also recording crew without permission can be questionable plus keep in mind they do not know why you are filming so always ask their permission
4)Plus they are doing their safety demo which is a legality for every flight and filming that without permission is a no no

Haha I sound so bossy but hopefully this gives you some insight. Keep up the brilliant videos they are so incredibly inspiring x

Hi TJ! My boyfriend and i have been watching all your videos religiously since we're going to Vietnam in May. How did you find JetStar? We're using VietJet as well and we've heard the same things where there are a lot of delays and super confusing check ins!

As a FA, we have a policy for no video recording/pictures of within the aircraft. Given, it depends if they just want a picture as a keepsake (ie. of them in the cabin obviously posing or posing with the FAs). If the passengers are continuously taking a video, then it becomes more serious esp during safety demo.

Vietnam airport is the worst, I sat at the airport for 9hrs and they didn't tell us when the plane would depart to nha trang so we had to pay for a different company and pay more

From what I've heard it's up to the flight crew if they'll let you film or not. I would start recording and if they say stop listen and apologise (:

CupofTJ, I really appreciate your effort to try the local scene, most notably the market for the locals. Here's a tidbit you'll find interesting. If you come as a twosome or as a group, and have decided to sit down in one stall to eat xxx. HOwever, one of you guys want to eat yyy in the next stall, just tell your stall your friend want yyy and ask them to order and bring it to your stall for your friend. Not only will they do it, but they will bill you the whole thing, including for yyy. You guys will only have to pay the whole thing at your stall and your stall owner will settle it with the yyy stall later. This work out really well if you want to eat the desert (che) after your meal and one of you guys want a different drink not available at your stall but is available from another stall. HOpe you enjoy Vietnam, its scenery, its food and the people.
